Education Management:
Nowadays after the admission of a child to a school,
we urge him both at school and at home to study longer selectively,
to make notes, to collect the notes of a senior teacher
and to follow them, to learn them by rote for obtaining
higher marks in the examination. As a result instead of
feeling any inclination to study they become apathetic,
terrified and frightened of study. For this reason we will
take all effective measures to inspire every student right
from the nursery class.
Special care for S.S.C. and H.S.C. Candidates :
Milestone ensures the optimum use of its resources to facilitate academic excellence. Considering the need of the S.S.C and H.S.C students, we arrange special care program after the Test Examination. Ten students are placed under the supervision of a teacher who takes personal care of each student. In fact, he/she is given the responsibility to monitor the progress of those ten students, maintain liaison with their guardians and apprise the co-ordinators every week about their performance. Accordingly, the co-ordinator apprises the Vice Principal after every 15 days and Vice Principal, in turn, briefs the Principal about the progress of each S.S.C and H.S.C candidate at least once in every month .
College Transport:
We offer transport facilities for day-shift students. Currently 550 students are using college transports. It plies from Uttara to Gazipur via Tongi and Uttara to Mohakhali, Banani, Khilkhet and Gulshan.
Laboratories:
We accentuate the practical education of the students. Practical classes are carried out from class VI. We have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, English Language, Agriculture Studies Laboratories etc. These laboratories are equipped with adequate resource materials necessary for practical demonstration. The cooling and interiors of the lab rooms are also very good. Each lab has a separate demonstrator and a cleaner to ensure cleanliness.
Library:
The college has a rich library. Students use the library
in the tiffin period, Students of full-time schooling after
lunch and residential students in the afternoon. The library
is enriched with newspapers, magazines, periodicals along
with textual, co-textual, story, novel and general knowledge
books. We have now 20,000 books in the library. The library
is fully air conditioned.
Internet Facility :
There is DSL Connection to facilitate Internet access to the students. Computer Lab attendants monitor and assist the use of Internet in the computer laboratory. Students are allowed to surf on the net for learning purpose only.
